Fultonham- Ronald J. Cittadini, 74, of Chapman Rd., died Monday, January 14, 2013 at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown.
Born June 1, 1938 in Brooklyn, he was the son of Anthony and Gloria (Defreitas) Cittadini.
Ronald was employed as an iron worker for Local 40 in Manhattan for many years before retiring and moving from Brentwood to Fultonham in 1988.
A veteran of the United States Marine Corp., he received an honorable discharge and became a member of the American Legion Post 2011
and the 40 and 8.
He was a member of the Middleburgh Rod & Gun Club, the Knights of Columbus in Middleburgh, and was a communicant of Our Lady of the Valley Catholic Church.
Ron enjoyed auctions, shopping, scratch offs and cooking.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-five years: Frances (Super) Cittadini; two children: Rodney (Idalia) Cittadini of Sharon Springs and Cheryl (Robert) Hubert of Palm Coast, FL; his brother: Philip Skowfoe of Fultonham; sister: Mary Jane Fancher of Mayfield and five grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at Our Lady of the Valley, Main St., Middleburgh. Family and friends are also invited to a period of visitation to be held on Saturday from 9 to 10:30 AM at Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home, 134 River St., Middleburgh.
