Richmondville- Marjorie H. Patrick, 82, formerly of Richmondville and Schenectady, died Wednesday, January 8, 2014, at Craneville Place in Dalton, MA where she has been a resident for the past several years.

Born January 1, 1932 in Richmondville, she was the daughter of Stanley and Helen (Shaw) Patrick.

Marjorie was valedictorian for the 1949 Richmondville Central School graduation class. She went on to be a cashier at the former Loblaws and then an assistant librarian at the State University Library in Albany.

Marjorie was baptized and grew up as a member of the Richmondville United Methodist Church. Later in life, she was a member of the Albany United Methodist Church.

She was predeceased by her parents and one brother, John James "Jim" Patrick.

Survivors include her sister: Dorothy Moot of Richmondville; brother: Philip Patrick of Palatine Bridge; sister-in-law: Lois Patrick of Greenwich; four nephews and three nieces: Timothy (Corina) Moot of Hurley, Sylvia (Ronald) Letteron of Fort Plain, Steven (Judy) Patrick of Greenwich, David (Nancy) Patrick of Dalton, PA, Timothy (Miriama) of Greenwich, Mary (William) Robertson of Newburyport, MA, and Sara (Philip) Ruggiero of Sound Beach, LI.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill. Officiating will be Rev. Jonathan Litzner of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Richmondville. Family and friends are also invited to attend a period of visitation to be held at the funeral home prior to the service Sat., from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. Spring interment will be in Summit Cemetery.
