Warnerville: Ellsworth "Ed" A. Rosenberger, III, 81, of Greenbush Road died Saturday March 15, 2014, peacefully at his home.

Ed was born in Begoda, NJ on September 3, 1932 to Elizabeth (Bellm) and Ellsworth A. Rosenberger, Jr.

Ed served his country in the United States Army from 1953 – 1955.

He lived in New Jersey, prior to moving to Warnerville thirty years ago and was proud to have built his home on top of the hill with his own hands.

Ed retired from the maintenance department at Cobleskill Central School.

Ed was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Cobleskill.

He was an outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and travelling.

Ed is survived by his wife: Winifred M. (Tarpey) Rosenberger whom he married on April 28, 1956 and by his sister: Karen (Mark) Aragin of Chino Hills, CA; brother: Lawrence Rosenberger of Garden Grove, CA; nephews: Jonathan and Christopher Aragin of Chino Hills, CA.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00pm on Thursday March 20, 2014 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Washington Ave., Cobleskill. Father Jeff La'Arche will be celebrant. A period of visitation will be held from 11:00am -12:00pm, prior to the Mass at the church. Spring interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Cemetery, Cobleskill.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Mereness-Putnam Funeral Home, 171 Elm St., Cobleskill and Palmer & Shaylor Funeral Home of Middleburgh.
