Cobleskill- Beatrice A. Muro, 83, of Lawyersville Road, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013 at Otsego Manor where she had been a resident for the past two months.

Born May 31, 1930 in Bronx, she was a daughter of Thomas and Bridget (McInerney) Tyrrell.

Bea and her husband raised their children in the Westchester and Putnam County area. She retired from Reader's Digest as a mail reader supervisor in Pleasantville, NY. Following retirement, they moved to the Myrtle Beach, SC area in 1988.

She was a social butterfly, enjoying many activities with her friends such as bingo, bicycling, water aerobics and more.

Bea was predeceased by her husband, John Muro, who died September 11, 2011. It was then that she moved to the Cobleskill area to live with her daughter and son-in-law. She was a communicant of St. Vincent de Paul Church in Cobleskill.

Survivors include her two children: Patrice (Max) Williams of Cobleskill and Kenneth (Tiina) Muro of Ridgefield, CT; her sister: Helen Lazaredes of Long Island; three grandchildren: Mikko and Timo Muro and Lisa Pressley; and three great-grandchildren: Olivia, Alicia, and Sabrina Pressley.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at St. Vincent de Paul Church, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill with Rev. Jeffrey L'Arche as celebrant. A period of visitation will be held at the church prior to the service from 1 to 2 PM.
