Alicia, Heidi, Polly & families - it was a long and courageous battle, which he fought with his usual strength. His friends, neighbors, and colleagues hold him in high regard - the sentiments they have expressed and your own memories over the years will provide great comfort to you.

Alicia, Heidi, Polly and entire Hallock family,

I just received the news of your fathers passing and I am so deeply sadden by this news. I was him one time when I came to visit just after your Mom passed, she too was a wonderful and kind person. I have so many fond memories with David, Joan and you girls as you were growing up and my Brother Gideon would come work for him in the summer and weekends. Your Dad

What a great man. He was always so professional, kind and compassionate. Loved conversing with him. You know he was listening to what you had to say and was sincere in his responses. My condolences to the whole family. He was a unique individual that contributed so much to his community.

Alicia, Polly and Heidi - We were so saddened to hear of David's passing. I will always remember his rich deep voice in church and how he calmly considered every view point before making a decision. Your Mom and him were so loving and respectful of everyone they met. They both have a special place in my heart. You are all strong women and I believe it is because you had a strong family. If you ever need a shoulder to cry on or an ear to listen, I am always here for you.

Love,
Brenda, Bob, and Kira

David was one of the friendliest kindest people I knew. I remember him testing the milk on my grandfather's farm, which he eventually bought. He andhis wife Joan were the most perfect team and worked non stop to bring the farm up to date. It was a blessing to see the farm flourish healing the sadness of the farm no longer belonging to my grandfather. My prayers go out to all his children and family. A most wonderful person will be missed.

Dear Alicia, Heidi, Polly and family: I'm so sorry for your loss. I worked with Joan for many years at Middleburgh Telephone & was honored to call her my dear friend. I miss her still today. David & Joan were such a loving couple. I had such respect for David - hardworking, dedicated, devoted to his family. He was the only truly "honest" politician I've known! He really cared about people and made a difference in their lives. My eyes

I was honored to work with David during the two terms he served as Schoharie County Clerk. He was one of the most humble, honest, Godly men I have ever met. He treated his employees and the public with the utmost respect. I was glad to call him 'friend' and I'm sure that he is with his God and Joan, free of the anguish and pain of this earth. I send my sympathy and prayers to his daughters, Alicia, Polly and Heidi and the Hallock family. He will be missed.

Alicia, Polly & Heida & families - our love, sympathy and prayers are with you all. David was a wonderful person (as was your mom). We will remember him most fondly for all he contributed and did for the Bates Hollow church. Not a year goes by there when someone mentions him at the service. We certainly miss the Hallock family there. We know David is at peace and joining his lovely wife in heaven. There is now another bright shinning star in God's beautiful heavenly sky. God's blessing to you all.
